Let Your Flavor Flag Fly

Making flavor flags — and sales—fly high

We were tasked with reversing a negative sales trend and bringing the heat to North America. The challenge? Global brand Nando’s had limited recognition in the US. So we fired up our creativity with a bold new campaign: Let Your Flavor Flag Fly. Nando’s iconic flavor flags became the heart of this campaign, celebrating individuality, inclusivity, and of course, flavor. We encouraged guests to try Nando’s however they like—and to proudly fly their flavor flag.

Emerald Queen Casino

putting the super in super bowl

When we were asked to create our first-ever Super Bowl TV spot, we set out to score big. Our team wrote, directed and produced an entire broadcast campaign featuring a series of entertaining, artfully filmed spots from the point of view of a different guest personality, then summed them up in one spot that played during the Super Bowl supported by a social media campaign. And all that? As our characters each say in their own unique way: We’re here for it.

Anvil disaster restoration

mother nature can be real mother

Fire. Wind. Water. Whatever. To bring to life Anvil’s disaster restoration services, we created a stylized and entertainingly sinister Mother Nature character who boasts about the havoc she causes homeowners. Our broadcast and outdoor campaign features the work of three-time Academy Award winner and 12-time nominee for costume design, Colleen Atwood. This campaign is part of our ongoing work with Anvil, who has seen a dramatic 500+% increase in customer inquiries after naming us their agency of record, a torrential downpour of success.

Anvil Radon remediation

It’s a hazmat life

It’s a serious issue, so we chose a quirky approach to really get people’s attention. While other agencies may have hesitated to portray an ordinary family wearing hazmat suits to bring awareness to radon, the second leading cause of lung cancer, we dove in mask first. This broadcast and outdoor campaign follows a family doing everyday things like laundry and eating dinner in not-so-everyday hazmat gear. Our ongoing work as Anvil’s agency of record has led to a dramatic 500+% increase in their customer inquiries, so we’d say our out-of-the-box ideas are paying off.

saladworks flavor your world

Pack your bags for a globally inspired branding adventure.

30+ years. That’s how long it was since Saladworks introduced a new menu. So when they rolled out their new globally inspired Flavor Your World menu, we were on board for the ride. The new menu provided a pent-up, COVID world with a much-needed travel-themed adventure. Our brand identity for these new offerings was inspired by vintage travel imagery and the language of exploration — taking guests on a scenic journey from the US to Italy, Greece, Asia, Mexico, and back again. We launched an integrated campaign including new menu designs, social and email campaigns, a full rewards push, a microsite, and more. These Flavor Your World items continue to thrive on the Saladworks menu, bolstered by our branding. Come along on our next adventure?

frutta bowls endless summer

when it comes to product launches, we know all the smoothie moves

Frutta Bowls planned to kick off summer with limited-time flavors inspired by childhood favorites. And their new orange cream, banana fudge and cherry pie smoothies really got our juices flowing. So to launch these new products, we created a look and feel around the memories of an Endless Summer, back when summer days seemed to last forever. By developing custom illustrations, we explored the bright colors and cool pop vibe of the 1980s to create the nostalgia of waiting for the ice cream truck. The result of our pop-inspired launch? A very pop-ular summer campaign. And a little yum in the sun.

Saladworks BlahBQ

making grilling a little more thrilling.

We come up with big ideas that make a splash for our clients. So when Saladworks introduced their summer salads, we devised a mobile pop-up experience to bring free catering to boring barbecues in the Philly area. We branded it BlahBQ Rescue and launched a social campaign. On event day, we rented a truck, filled it with Saladworks food and swag, started at a local news station, and ran a live tweet engagement program for tweeters to instantly enter the giveaway. From sunup to sundown, we delivered free parties across three states—and with $0 media spend, we created over 1 million impressions.

tulalip casino restaurant concepts

food for thought: quality restaurants drive casino business.

When we started working with Tulalip Resort Casino, we suggested they encourage visitation and increase revenue by upping their restaurant game. We used our expertise in the restaurant industry to help them conceptualize, name, brand and promote two new eateries—Blazing Paddles and Tule Bene—as well as all the eateries in The Kitchen, a contemporary new food court. The result? A tasty new experience for the Tulalip guest.

Saladworks Grain Bowls

We Went Beyond Greens with Saladworks to Make an Incredi-bowl Launch

We partnered with Saladworks to launch their new product — Saladworks grain bowls — the company’s first new entrée in 30 years. We put our Make Today Incredi-bowl branding to work and created a cohesive multi-channel campaign, from in-store to out of home, loyalty and social media. Our Twitter and Instagram grain bowl giveaways resulted in over 240% growth in engagement within weeks. An incredi-bowl launch, indeed.

Sweet Charlie’s

Boost social and drive sales for a loved Philly ice cream brand? Sweet

We always roll with a new challenge. So when Sweet Charlie’s wanted to boost their social media presence, we took over and created an engaging new aesthetic along with successful promotions that drove sales. When they introduced fresh cookie delivery, we developed an overall brand strategy and designed everything from the packaging to in-store collateral. And when they rolled out holiday flavors, we were there to help name and promote them for a fa-la-licious launch.
